Tuberculosis Section

The tuberculosis section is responsible for co-ordinating national surveillance of tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections in England and Wales. The section contributes to the prevention and control of these infections and conducts a programme of teaching and research. The section collaborates with clinicians, public health professionals and microbiologists in England and Wales and works closely with colleagues in Northern Ireland and Scotland. In addition the section collaborates with a wide range of other countries, the European Union and the World Health Organization.
