Health Protection in the 21st Century - Understanding the Burden of Disease

The Health Protection Agency has produced this report in order to determine the cost of both new problems and those that continue today.

It is intended that this report should identify the current and future health protection priorities and provide a useful framework to help underpin the strategies of other organisations involved with health outcomes and to raise awareness. This is for discussion and information and is not definitive but is the first step in what will be an continuing process in collaboration with the many stakeholders and partners of the HPA.
