Migrant health

Approximately 8% of the UK population was born abroad and every year thousands of migrants from all over the world travel to and from the UK.

Although most migrants to the UK are healthy young adults, some groups are at increased risk of infections like hepatitis, HIV, malaria and tuberculosis.
